Doctor Visit

If any of you hang around me long enough you are going to know that I have problems with allergies and sometimes asthma. Today I went to get that checked out by the doctor and it looks like I was mostly right about everything. My lung capabilities suck! It must be all of the second hand smoke from restaurants. I did a breathing test (not because I was pulled over for drunk driving) and I did not do too well. I had 64% at the lowest part of my lungs. Most people, my age/my health, have 100% all of the way through. I took an inhaler and that increased my breathing capability by 8% at the best. Now I am going to have to use one of those things before I exercise or mow grass, or if I have trouble breathing for any other reason. The best thing about it is that I am going to have to get back on allergy shots. Yeah, I took those when I was a kid and then I "grew" out of them. Now I am going to get back on it.

So the coolest thing about all of this was that I had to take this skin test for allergies. They pricked me with a needle 66 times in my arms. (Kristen would not have done that!) Of the 66 tested I was allergic to almost 40 of them. I am VERY allergic to all grasses. Those "reactions" are still showing on my arm, 3 hours after the prick. I wanted to take a picture for you guys but I did not have a camera on me. Otherwise I would be showing you like a video of the pricks or something good like that.

Just thought that you might want to know my weaknesses.

i don't see this keeping you from enjoying the outdoors. I am sorry you have to deal with it though :-(
by th way, I have no desire to see your arm pricked with several needles, so I am glad you don't have a camera.
