My cousin reminded a while back that fishing isn't always easy. He went red fishing and started off quick with two red fish in the boat, only it didn't last. The fish quit biting and they went home with two fish.
That was not the case this past Friday. I took off of work to go fishing with Justin, PawPaw Chester, and Shawn. We went looking for some of those speckled trout. It started off kind of slow but quickly picked up once we hit a good spot. In the morning we caught 33 and in the afternoon we caught another 21, for a total of 54 fish! It was a lot of fun. Some people were having trouble with catching fish. Just about every time I turned around someone was switching their bait, looking for the perfect one. I, on the other hand, was hooked up with the perfect bait from the start (thanks to pawpaw). I used the same exact lure for the entire day. For some reason the fish really liked it. Even when other people started fishing with the same kind of lure, it just wasn't doing as well as mine. On my 24th fish my bait started to fall apart. I was able to get it back together and get one last fish.
Thanks for a great time guys. As PawPaw said "every dog has their day".
Again, I am sorry to not have any pictures to record this wonderful moment but I still don't have a camera.
