My birthday present was awesome!

Amanda gave me tickets to see these guys. It was pretty cool stuff. They put on a good show. And we had GREAT seats.

Jordan's Furniture

Jordan's Furniture decided to make a deal back in March 2007. They told their customers that all mattresses, beds, sofas, or dining tables purchased between March 7 and April 16 would be FREE if the Boston Red Sox won the 2007 World Series. Well, as we all know the Red Sox won. So is it time for this guy to pay back the 30,000 people who cashed in on the deal? He was smarter than I thought. He actually wont be paying back all of it. He purchased an insurance plan for $20 million to cover some of the deal. They never mentioned exactly how much will be paid back but here is a little math for you: $20 million/30,000 people is roughly $667 per person. I think that he is still going to be paying quite a bit of money out of his own pocket. Last time I checked some furniture cost more than $667, and that's only if each person only purchases one item.

Maybe we should start a help out Jordan's Furniture fund. We could do a car wash or something.

My birthday meal

My mother-in-law took Amanda and I out to eat tonight for our birthday. Amanda chose to eat at the Bonefish Grill. I thought that the food over there was excellent. They brought out some bread that I ate with olive oil and pesto - great. I ordered Mahi Mahi topped with shrimp, scallops, and crab meat - great. It came with some little veggies on the side - great. I also had potatoes au gratin - great. Amanda ate the same thing as me.

Thanks J.C. for the wonderful dinner.

Not to forget my birthday dinner from my mom, GUMBO. That was excellent also. It was perfect since it was right around the same time that the weather started to cool down!

Thanks mom for the wonderful dinner.

LSU 28 - Florida 24

I was there! Believe it or not I got a ticket the week of the game. It all started when Kristen and Shawn told me that they wanted to come in for the LSU/Florida game. I thought that it was a wonderful idea, I just did not know how we were going to get tickets for the game. Well, Shawn and Kristen got tickets from one of their Florida friends. Now all that I needed was a ticket for myself. Luckily I was contacted by Anne-Kathryn telling me that Papa Bear came through with a ticket for me. I was by myself, but I was going to the game! What a great game that it was. I am so THANKFUL that I got a ticket.
This one goes out to Papa Bear and Nana Bear. I OWE YOU!

Big Bro's House

I finally made it out to Jacque and Jenny's house in Houston. It had been quite a while since the last time that I was out there. I was able to have lots of fun with my two nieces, Bella and Arianne. Bella was fun to play with and Arianne just kind of layed around. Sunday morning we sat there and watched Thomas the Train. That was pretty interesting. Jacque also made me worry while I was there. He handed me Arianne and started to walk out of the door with the his keys. When he walked out I heard the car start and I thought, he is leaving me with this kid and I have no idea what to do with her. Sure enough, she started to cry while I was holding her. He told me if she started to cry to put the pacifier back in her mouth, I tried that, but it did not work. So I just sat there with a crying baby and worried about when Jacque was going to get back to tend to this crying child. Luckily he was not leaving in the car, he was only backing it up in the driveway. So he came back in and took Arianne from me. That was very nice of him.

Here are some pictures of the weekend:

I was not sleeping, I just happened to have blinked.

Obviously this picture was taken before LSU beat Florida because they are all still smiling.
